Our achievements

Our recent initiatives

Montréal centre-ville is a key player at the heart of downtown development. We carry out and support many projects that contribue daily to the prestige of our area.

Promotion: enhance the image and attractiveness of downtown Montreal.

Win back your downtown shopping expenses

In fall 2020, Montréal centre-ville will launch its campaign “Win back your downtown shopping expenses“. As part of a full-fledged commercial relaunching campaign, visitors to downtown Montreal have been encouraged to make purchases in downtown stores for a chance to have their shopping expenses entirely refunded via an interactive online game! More than 12,000 participations for the 1st edition and more than $1 million spent in downtown stores !

Génie centre-ville

In collaboration with the Montreal-based business Génie Montréal, Montréal centre-ville launched Génie centre-ville in June 2020. This new personal assistant and delivery service allows customers to have products and services delivered to them in a matter of hours by contacting Génie directly via its website, Facebook, or Instagram. Customers who use the promo code #Geniecentreville will receive free delivery on all orders originating in downtown Montreal!

Montréal centre-ville awards ceremony

During its ceremony held each year in September, Montréal centre-ville gives awards to influential and visionary individuals who have an impact on downtown Montreal.

The Santa Claus Parade

Each year, in November, Montréal centre-ville organizes the Santa Claus Parade: a genuinely enchanting event for people of all ages that passes through the streets of downtown. More than 500,000 people attend the parade each year, and a live broadcast on TVA attracts more than a million views.

Experience: provide a unique experience to visitors downtown

Montréal centre-ville’s mission is to provide users a unique and enjoyable experience downtown.

Cleanliness

Since 2001, Montréal centre-ville has operated a cleaning brigade that works seven days a week, all year long, to keep downtown streets clean and allow workers, residents, and students to benefit from a positive experience.

Beautification

The beautification of downtown is a priority for Montréal centre-ville. Each year, in May, the cleaning brigade installs flowerpots and planters. From Sherbrooke to Réné-Lévesque, by way of Sainte-Catherine and its side streets, more than 700 planters, 400 hanging baskets, and 14 garden containers help beautify downtown and add a touch of green through September.

Rally, bike stations

Four bike stations were installed in downtown Montreal to help users get around more easily. These four stations allow workers, visitors, and residents to take their bicycle downtown and then park it safely and free of charge. A brigade monitors and cleans the stations daily thanks to cleaning terminals installed at each location. Bring your bike downtown and park it at Rally Peel, Rally Bishop, Rally Guy, and Rally Place-des-Arts!

ÇA VA BIEN, street furniture that enhances our clients’ lives

In spring 2020, Montréal centre-ville hired the Quebec design firm DIX au carré to develop and install fun street furniture to help manage waiting lines and facilitate social distancing on Sainte-Catherine Street.
