A Bach Festival Montréal concert

The program opens with J. C. Bach’s Overture and Suite from “Amadis de Gaule,” based on the tumultuous story of a pair of jealous lovers; to be followed by J. S. Bach’s Concerto for Two Violins in D minor and ending with Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 1, composed in honour of Fanny, his sister and musical soulmate.
