Until September, on-street parking is free during weekends!
Offer a new mobile application that primarily aims to improve drivers’ experience and alleviate parking issues, especially in the context of the redevelopment of Sainte-Catherine Street: this is the Agence de mobilité goals, in collaboration with the City of Montréal.
This new mobile application, called P$ Montréal Centre-Ville for the purpose of the pilot project, seeks to reduce search time, as well as improve the experience and downtown parking offer, mainly around Sainte-Catherine Street West.
“This new tool will provide access to several downtown parking lots near Sainte-Catherine Street at on-street parking rates for the first two hours” said Mr. Laurent Chevrot, General Manager of the Agency. “It will facilitate urban mobility, help reduce traffic congestion and greenhouse gas emissions associated with finding parking spaces and support Sainte-Catherine Street’s and downtown Montreal’s commercial activities”
Most private parking lots in the area are now identified and geolocated on a map to allow for their pooled use. At the time of going to print, a first partnership has been formed with Indigo Park Canada.
Depending on the day and time of your arrival, you will be able to take advantage of Sainte-Catherine Street West on-street parking rates at several nearby indoor garages managed by Indigo. You will automatically get the reduced rate for two hours without any action required on your part. All you have to do is show up at one of the parking lots participating in this unique project.
P$ Montréal Centre-Ville also offers features similar to those of the P$ Mobile Service app, which Montrealers know well but via a revamped interface that presents innovative alternative to finding parking in the downtown core.
